Provider Order Management (POM)
This online course trains physicians how to use Meditech computerized order entry.
To begin the course, click on the "Launch POM Training" link above. You will need an access code, which you should have already received. If you have not, please contact us.
The complete program consists of 5 lessons (each takes about 20 minutes) and it is not necessary to finish the entire training in one session. Each lesson can be completed as a separate session and you can repeat individual lessons if you wish.
When you have completed all 5 lessons:
You will be prompted to enter your name and phone number or email address.
You can then choose to print a record of completion or email the certificate to Pearl Williams in the Medical Affairs Department.
Should you choose the print option, 2 copies will print; you must send one copy to Medical Affairs, NY Eye and Ear Infirmary, 310 East 14th Street, NYC 10003.
In order to print the certificate of completion, you must have a printer configured on your PC.
In order to e-mail the certificate, you must have an e-mail client configured for the PC you are using.
The record of completion (e-mail or certificate) will be maintained by Medical Affairs, in your file.
Once you have completed the training, you will need to stop by IS to enter your PIN for electronic signature. (Note: If you do not have a Meditech account, call or e-mail us first so we can set one up for you.)
